DLOWE IS STEPPING INTO HER MOMENT

Toronto’s music scene has always been built on hustle, identity, and the stories behind why artists sound the way they do. DLOWE fits that tradition perfectly. Born in Kingston Jamaica and raised between Toronto and the Peel region, she is an artist carrying two cultures at once and you hear it the second she touches a beat. Dancehall. Trap. RNB. UK drill. She does not stay in one lane because she has never lived in just one world.

Her new single taps into something real for her. This one comes straight from her love for cars, the same obsession she had in high school staying up watching YouTube videos on exotic builds, interior work, body kits, all of it. Her dream car is an Aston Martin and the record feels like exactly that vibe. Luxury, motion, adrenaline, intention. It is a dedication to anybody who loves the road, the grind, or anything that gets your heart moving faster than it should.

The production came together through a tight circle. SodaMoneyChris, SodaMoneySammi, BeatsByAlterEgo and DxnnvBoy were the creators behind the single and the music video. And the visuals came with a moment that perfectly captured who she is. While driving a Porsche on backroads, pushing the speed while the drone team grabbed shots overhead, her phone flew deep into the car from the acceleration. Sammi had to help look for it and when they found it, it was still recording. A perfect accident that summed up everything. She lives inside the adrenaline instead of running from it.

Her sound choices make even more sense when you hear her story. She grew up heavy on UK drill in high school with artists like Russ Millions, Digga D, Stormzy, POUNDZ and Dave shaping the soundtrack of her early years. That influence is exactly why she chose to flow on a UK drill beat for this record. It is familiar to her but she flips it with her Jamaican and Canadian identity, creating a tone that is not coming from anyone else in the city.

But the meaning behind the song goes deeper than the beat. She wants her music to reach people who are chasing something bigger. She wants listeners especially women to feel confident and capable of building the life they want. It is a message about hard work, discipline and trusting God’s timing with everything.

DLOWE is not trying to blend in. She is stepping into her versatility, her culture and her story with intention. And if this single is the beginning of her next chapter, then she is moving like someone who already knows exactly where she is headed.

Toronto keep your eyes on DLOWE. She is moving with purpose and momentum. Let us see where she takes it next.
