YuNoShy Makes Music for the Overthinkers

For YuNoShy, music has always been more than just making songs. It’s an outlet.

His latest EP, Imposter, puts that idea at the centre. Across the project, the artist explores mental health, self-doubt, pain, ambition and the feeling of sometimes not recognizing the person he is becoming.

One of those emotions comes through on “Obsessive Loner.”

The track speaks to the feeling of being stuck inside your own thoughts while trying to navigate everything happening around you. Rather than hiding those emotions, YuNoShy uses music to work through them.

That honesty is what makes Imposter feel personal. Each song captures a different side of his headspace, bringing together his experiences, the things he has struggled with and emotions that listeners may recognize from their own lives.
