RAMO ISN’T WAITING ON A COSIGN “ON MY WAY” PROVES IT

RAMO’S “ON MY WAY” FEELS LIKE SOMETHING THAT’S BEEN BUILDING

Ramo’s not trying to do too much on this one and that’s exactly why it works.

On My Way! feels like one of those records you throw on late at night and it just sits right. The beat is smooth, a little hypnotic, nothing over the top. It gives him space and he actually uses it properly.

The hook is simple but it sticks.
“Girl I’m on my way” repeats in a way that doesn’t get annoying, it just locks in. Then he follows it with “I don’t play no games” and you already know the tone he’s on. Straight to the point, no extra talking.

What stands out is how controlled everything feels.

He’s not forcing vocals, not overdoing melodies, not trying to prove anything. He just rides the beat clean with a steady flow that fits the pocket. That confidence comes off more natural than loud, which is something a lot of artists miss.

There’s a line near the end that really sums up the track:
“Locked in like it’s jail, but I’m never going on the run.”

That’s the kind of bar that doesn’t need explaining. You get it right away. Focused but still moving. Committed but not stuck. That balance is what the whole record feels like. And honestly, that’s where Ramo is starting to separate himself a bit.

Ontario’s been sitting on this sound for a while. That mix of underground energy with melody. A lot of people try it, but it either sounds too rough or too polished.

This feels in between.

Not trying to go viral. Not trying to chase a trend. Just building something that sounds like him. On My Way! doesn’t feel like a big breakout moment yet. It feels like progress. Like he’s getting closer to something.

And those are usually the records you want to pay attention to early. Because once it clicks, everyone acts like they saw it coming.

Is this one of the more complete sounds coming out of the city right now?

Ramo’s already looking ahead too. He’s got a new single dropping at the end of May that leans more into that summer vibe, and from what we’re hearing, there’s a whole vault of that sound coming. Dancehall energy in the mix too.
